About Us

      The True Buddha School (TBS) was founded by Grand-Master Sheng-Yen Lu, a Vajra-master who has attained a high level of enlightenment. Grand-Master Sheng-Yen Lu is also referred by his 6 million plus followers as "Living Buddha-Lian-Sheng".

     Grand-Master Lu was a devoted Christian.  At age 25 he encountered mystical experiences, began to practice Taoism, then Sutrayana Buddhism,  and then, during a retreat in deep meditation,  he received Tibetan Vajra-Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava 's short lineage  teachings. He completed all the stages of Vajrayana practice, and  attained enlightenment.

      The mission of the TBS is to bring Buddhist teachings into contemporary  society, help sentient beings attain joy and peace in their daily life, and ultimately, develop superior wisdom and universal compassion, recovering their Buddha-nature, ending the cycle of death and rebirth,  and achieve spiritual realization/nirvana.

      Currently, there are over 400 True Buddha School temples, chapters, and  study groups throughout the world, serving all who are interested in  learning Buddhism.    

 真佛宗創辦人蓮生活佛盧勝彥，是現世修行大成就者，本身依密法次第實修圓滿, 而證得無上正等正覺。真佛宗的宗旨是「明心見性, 自主生死」，推行佛教的現代化, 以簡易的 「真佛密法」修習方法來解脫世人的煩惱, 達到悲智雙修, 使人人共悟真理的實相。「真佛密法」是蓮生活佛所創的修法儀軌，也是蓮生活佛一生證悟的心要結晶，藉著文字教義、教本、實修儀軌和口頭教化，「真佛行者」有一套完整的修持體系和目標。 蓮生活佛弘傳「真佛密法」於全世界,在世界各地已建立了四百餘座弘法中心為大眾服務。            
 

With Grand Master Lu's blessing, the wish to  servicing the Charlotte community, the Charlotte True Buddhist Society  was founded in September 1990. December of 1998, the land at 5909 Monroe  Road was purchased.  The Charlotte True Buddha Temple was built from  ground up, and had its official Grand-Opening in January 2003.                                                       

1990年 9月，蓮生活佛以大慈悲願力爲了引度北卡信眾鼓勵建寺，並賜偈語勉之： 「 禪門心法密中修，觀念清靜即成佛」。
1998年12月初購買寺地。於2003年1月舉行開光典禮，正式開放為大衆服務。 

All our activities are open to the public and we welcome everyone.  The Charlotte True Buddha Temple offers a variety of Buddhist services including:
Group Cultivation every Sunday at 11:30am~12:30pm  (conducted in Chinese)
Prayers offered to those who are sick, dying, or suffering.

拜土地公：每月農曆初二1:30pm
一般服務：安太歲，光明燈，延生祿位，祖先牌位，求籤，佛具，經書流通
預約服務：紅白事誦經，佛像開光，報名參加法會.
